Science Day
Today your child will learn about the life cycles of different animals like a cat, dog, chicken, frog, and butterfly. At the end of this lesson, your child should be able to:
- Determine the sequence of the life cycle of common animals
- Model animal life cycles
- Start Here: Student watches these animal life cycle videos: Animals Life Cycle Video, Life Cycle of a Monarch Butterfly, and How a Tadpole Transforms into a Frog
- Activity Instructions:
Your child will draw a model of an animal life cycle of their choice (cat, dog, chicken,
frog, and butterfly) after they listen to the following stories:
Listen to the story: From Caterpillar to Butterfly and Frogs - Then take a picture of you drawing and send it to your teacher.

Social Studies Day
Today your child will learn about Georgia leader Jimmy Carter. At the end of this lesson, your child should be able to:

4. Jimmy Carter Activity: Write Jimmy Carter at the top of the paper, draw a picture of him in the middle of a piece of paper. Write words that describe Jimmy Carter around his name. Take a picture and send it to your teacher.
5. Show What You Know: Choose one of the activities from the choice board to complete. Send to your teacher when you are done.
- Tell how Jimmy Carter has shown compassion to, or help, others.
- Tell what Jimmy Carter has done to help the state of Georgia.
- Tell how Jimmy Carter’s work with human rights has changed the world.
